International audienceThis research studies the evolution of management of textual cohesion in written texts production in children aged from 7 to 12. We asked young children of three school grade levels (CE1, CM1 and 6e) to fill-in small text requiring anaphoric devices according to the specific characteristics of text segments. Variation in these text segments were induced by the combination of the modalities of three factors (referential distance, thematisation or not of grammatical subject, and maintaining or not of discourse focus). Researches on text comprehension have widely demonstrated the effects of these three factors on anaphoric processing (cf. Corbet & Chang, 1983, Clifton & Ferreira, 1987 ; Garrod, Freudenthal & Boyle, 1994)....
