Comunicación, desempeño laboral y discapacidad auditiva

The objective of this research is to describe the work performance of employees with hearing disabilities in education and their communication style. Theoretically, Karns, Dow and Neville (2012), postulated that the deaf processed Visual and tactile stimuli in their tasks. In job performance there are the contributions of Treviño et al (2010), Chiavenato (2009, 2011) and Robbins and Judge (2009). Venezuelan laws are included as basis and strengthening of inclution-participation of the deaf. The methodology is phenomenological-hermeneutical (Van Manen, 2003), using techniques and tools as participant observation, interview and questionnaire, respectively. As a result it was obtained that deaf people role is skillfully in their jobs, provided they do not involve hearing and his style of communication is respected; they are more responsible, punctual, and collaborators. It is recommended to avoid understatement, pity and increase knowledge about the skills of the deaf; all capabilities are so valued.El objetivo de esta investigación es describir el Desempeño Laboral de trabajadores con discapacidad auditiva en educación y su estilo de comunicación. Teóricamente, Karns, Dow y Neville (2012), postulan que los Sordos procesan estímulos táctiles y visuales en sus tareas. En desempeño laboral están los aportes deTreviño et al (2010), Chiavenato (2009, 2011) y Robbins y Judge (2009). Se incluyen las leyes venezolanas como fundamento y fortalecimiento de inclusión-participación del Sordo. La metodología es fenomenológica-hermenéutica (Van Manen, 2003), utilizando como técnicas e instrumento la observación participante, la entrevista y el cuestionario, respectivamente. Como resultados se obtuvo que los Sordos se desempeñan hábilmente en sus puestos de trabajo, siempre y cuando no impliquen la audición y se respete su estilo de comunicación; son más responsables, puntuales y colaboradores. Se recomienda evitar subestimación, la lástima y aumentar el conocimiento sobre las habilidades de los Sordos; así se valoran todas sus capacidades
