UNA ALEGORIA DE LA FUENTE DE LA SALVACIÓN , DE MARIANO S. MAELLA (1739-1819). ESTUDIO HISTÓRICO-TÉCNICO Y PROCESO DE INTERVENCIÓN

[EN] The object of the present Final Work of Degree is the study of a painting of the S. XVIII, technically executed in oil on board of small dimensions and coming from a particular collection. From the inscriptions presented in the work it has been possible to identify the iconic emblem of representation, in the case of the allegory of the Source of Salvation. On the other hand, the characteristics of the work, the detailed technical study and the search of graphic references, have led us to the conclusion that it may be a painting made by the valencian painter Mariano Salvador Maella. Finally, with the accomplishment of the conservative and documentary studies of the work, it has allowed us to determinate the damages that it presents and to propose a restoration intervention focused mainly on the integral cleaning of the pictorial surface, to improve the visual reading of the original colors of the painting.[ES] El objeto del presente Trabajo Final de Grado es el estudio de una pintura del S. XVIII, ejecutada técnicamente al óleo sobre tabla de pequeñas dimensiones y procedente de una colección particular. A partir de las inscripciones que presenta la obra se ha podido identificar el emblema icónico de la representación, tratándose de una alegoría de la Fuente de la Salvación. Por otro lado, las características de la obra, el estudio técnico pormenorizado y la búsqueda de referentes gráficos, nos han permitido hipotetizar de que pueda tratarse de una pintura realizada por el pintor valenciano Mariano Salvador Maella. Finalmente, con la realización de los estudios conservativos y documentales de la obra, nos ha facilitado determinar los daños que presenta y proponer una intervención de restauración enfocada principalmente a la limpieza integral de la superficie pictórica para mejorar la lectura visual de los colores originales de la pintura.Domingo Moreno, ML.
