A CAUSED FICTION SERIES. ARTIFICIALIDAD EN LA FOTOGRAFÍA URBANA

A theoretical-practical exercise that presents the results of the photographic series A Caused Fiction, where the narrow line that distinguish between fiction and document is analyzed. The images capture the presence of subjects unconnected to the project in the urban environment, which is modified through artificial light that dramatizes the scene. From the birth of photography, picture-takers have had as a purpose the idealization of reality so much that, during the process, they have moved away from it. The objective of this project is to find a balance that allows us to capture the borderline between fact and fiction. Therefore, a selected area and illumination is photographed, but, at the same time, the spontaneous and documentary nature of the pedestrian is also portrayed.Trabajo teórico-práctico que presenta los resultados de la serie fotográfica A Caused Fiction, donde se analiza la estrecha línea que separa la ficción del documento. Las imágenes capturan la presencia de sujetos ajenos al proyecto en pleno espacio urbano y nocturno, el cual está alterado mediante luces artificiales que, a su vez, dotan de teatralidad a la escena cotidiana. Desde el nacimiento de la fotografía han surgido hacedores de imágenes que, con la intención de idealizar la realidad, al final, se alejan de ella. El proyecto propone la búsqueda de un equilibrio que permita plasmar la frontera entre la realidad y la ficción, fotografiando así un espacio seleccionado junto con una iluminación planificada, pero al mismo tiempo retratando la espontaneidad y el carácter documental del transeúnte.Vélez Nadolu, A.
