[EN] Superalloys are generally used in the hot sections of gas-turbine engines due to their excellent high temperature properties with respect to strength, creep, and hot-corrosion resistance. For this kind of application, the Inconel 718 nickel-base superalloy has found widespread usage because of their lower cost compared with other superalloys accompanied with good material properties.
