[EN] The construction sector was one of the most affected in Spain during the economic crisis that began in 2008. Specifically, 14.764 companies in this sector have declared themselves insolvent in the period from 2007 to 2016, according to sources of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). Many authors have developed tools with the aim of predicting corporate insolvency through the use of financial ratios. Consequently, it is intended to study the applicability of these to a number of companies in the construction sector with registered office in Spain.
