How did bicycle share increase in Vitoria-Gasteiz?

[EN] Cycling mobility has often been neglected in transport planning. Nevertheless, the potential benefits of increasing the bicycle share make cycling promotion a key element for transforming cities toward sustainability. This research addresses the case study of Vitoria-Gasteiz, a city where the bicycle share has almost quadrupled in eight years. Through an exploratory analysis of the city´s last mobility surveys we find some insights into the bicycle user profile and the cycling trip. The results show differences between cyclist and non-cyclist groups especially by gender and age.
