Supporting Musical Midi Software Through Gesture Interaction for a Natural and Immersive to Use Interface

The goal of this bachelor thesis in Telecommunications Systems, Sound and Image engineering at ‘Universidad Politécnica de Valencia’ and supervised in ‘Technische Universität Berlin’ is to develop a gestural interaction prototype to control and support the midi musical software in order to give a more natural and immersive expression to create music. This will take the music to another level allowing an incredible synchronization between human movement and sound, resulting in a higher artistic potential. I will evaluate and study the advantages and limitations of gesture devices to choose the best solution to improve and extend the boundaries in the traditional music expression and creationEn este TFG quiero explorar el desarrollo de un prototipo de interacción gestual para controlar y dar soporte al software midi musical con el fin de encontrar una expresión más natural e inmersiva para crear música. Esto llevará a la música a otro nivel permitiendo una increible sincronización entre hombre y máquina, dando como resultado un potencial artístico más alto. Evaluaré y estudiare los punto fuertes y las limitaciones de los diferentes dispositivos inmersivos para elegir el que mejor de soluciones y mejoras para extender los limites de las tradicionales expresiones musicales.
