[EN] The study is focused on the use of natural dyes and mordants in order to dye cotton fabrics. In this paper we have used four dyes based on tea, red tea, black tea, Green tea and White one. In order to extract thedye, two procedures were carried on. One extraction process was carried on in a cold treatment and the other one was performed with boiling water. Samples died were tested with a colorimetric spectrophotometer, getting L*a*b* values and K/S according to Kubelka Munk. Results showed that both the extraction procedure and the nature of the tea influence the final result.[ES] El presente estudio se centra en el uso de colorantes y mordientes naturales para tintar tejido de algodón.
