[EN] Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the most prevalent cancers in the world. Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is currently the main biomarker for the early detection of CP. However, PSA is not specific for this disease and does not allow a complete differentiation between benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and PC. Therefore, an alternative or complementary biomarker should be identified in order to improve PC detection. miRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that are stable in human plasma.
