Analysis and evaluation of the stilt houses as an opportunity for creating a cultural tourism product. The case study of the province of Manabi (Ecuador)

[EN] The aim of this study is to analyse the conservation status of the stilt houses (palafittes) and architectural techniques used to build them. Findings will be used to put forward proposals regarding ways to enhance their value as a cultural tourist product owing to the important material and immaterial attributes they possess as part of the local heritage.
