Due to the rapid growth of photovoltaic energy in the last years, an even greater increase of its contribution is expected to achieve the targets. Therefore, the analysis of the technical PV potential has to be carried out. This study presents an estimation of PV technical potential of roof-mounted and free fields for each municipality of Germany.
