[EN] Introduction: Among patients with infantile cerebral palsy (CP) who manage walking, almost all have some sort of abnormal gait, being spasticity a determining factor in the complex regulation mechanisms of the gait. One treatment to reduce spasticity and improve walking is the injection of botulinum toxin A (TBA) and, although it is frequently used and accepted by many authors to impact at the local muscle level, no evidence is available that clearly demonstrate functional improvement of gait. Objectives: analyze those biomechanical variables to characterize, in a more sensible way, human gait of those patients with CP and evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of infiltration with TBA in gait function.
