Consulta en la Biblioteca ETSI Industriales (Riunet)[EN] The thesis deals with the simulation of a car ICE, more specifically, a Mitsubishi GDI engine, with an opensource software focused on computational fluids dynamics, OpenFoam 3.0. A tutorial will be made out of it in order to illustrate the application of the proposed topic and it will also be helpful as a start point for those interested in developing the model more deeply. The model setup will be explained, including several issues such as the generation of the mesh, the Parallel Adaptive Simplical ReMeshing approach for Deforming Domain used for its motion or the mathematical, turbulence and thermophysical models among others.
