[EN] Intracranial pressure (ICP) is a relevant physiologic parameter, whose monitoring becomes vital in many kinds of pathologies. Only invasive technologies for ICP diagnostics were available up to now for patients with traumatic brain injury. The BrainSafe project allowed developing an innovative absolute-ICP monitoring system that eliminates all the risks related with invasive diagnostic methods, and that provides reliable and fast data through a safety procedure. IBV participated in this initiative developing the design of the measurement instrument, applying ergonomics criteria and considering the functional and mechanical requirements of the device.
