A wideband frequency behavior is demonstrated for a phaseless near-field technique of basically interferometric approach, which uses two identical probes interfering each other through a microstrip circuit and performing amplitude-only near-field measurements on a single scanning surface. The phase retrieval procedure is properly formulated to take into account the frequency dependence without changing neither the microstrip circuit nor the distance between the probes. Numerical simulations on a linear array of elementary sources are presented to validate the theoretical results
