Rather different than elsewhere: Gerrie Snyman�s contribution in the context of Reformed theology Prof Gerrie Snyman�s book Om die Bybel anders te lees: �n etiek van Bybellees (2007) attracted considerable attention in Afrikaans-speaking reformed circles in South Africa. In this article, some of the responses to and reviews of the book are studied in order to assess the publication�s impact. Moreover, the article aims to determine whether the book will contribute to future reflections and discussions on the use of the Bible in this context.
