The purpose of this study was to assay catalase and peroxidase activity in the saprophytic fungus Rhizopus nigricans, grown on mediums containing grinded corn caryopsis, which, in our experiments have replaced carbon source – sucrose in composition of liquid culture medium Czapeck Dox, resulting in the final three experimental variants: V1 = 20 g/l, V2 = 30 g/l, V3 = 40 g/l, while the control variant composition remained unchanged. Measurements were made at three time intervals: 5 days and 10 days and 15 days after inoculation, using fungus mycelium and culture liquid.
