Amplification, mutation, or overexpression of the MET gene can result in aberrant activation of the MET axis, leading to migration, invasion, proliferation, metastasis, and neoangiogenesis of cancer cells, suggesting that interfering with the MET/hepatocyte growth factor pathway...
