Aryltrifluoromethylsulfoxides: Sulfinylation or Aromatics by Triflinate Salts in Acid Medium

Direct sulfinylation reaction of simple aromatic compounds by triflinate salts in triflic acid led to aryltrifluoromethyl sulfoxides. The para isomer was the major one.
