Anatomia descritiva do lenho de Feijoa Sellowiana Berg.

This work deals with the description of general, macroscopic and microscopic wood anatomical structure of Feijoa sellowiana Berg.The most important anatomical characteristics that were found are typical to the wood anatomy of family Myrtaceae.The identification of the studied wood requires the use of anatomical characteristics of secondary importance due to the great homogeneity in wood structure and number of species of this botanical family in south-brazilian flora.O presente trabalho trata da descrição das características gerais, macroscópicas e microscópicas do lenho de Feijoa sellowiana Berg.As principais características anatômicas encontradas são consideradas como típicas para a família Myrtaceae.A identificação anatômica da madeira requer características microscópicas de importância secundária e de valores quantitativos, em virtude da homogeneidade estrutural e abundância de espécies nativas desta família botânica no sul do Brasil
