This article describes the present-day conditions of migrant workers from Indonesia, both concerning their treatment before being placed at transit locations and their conditions during waiting time. Despite an improvement in legal regulations, namely by the promulgation of Law Number 39 of 2004 regarding manpower, the real practice of the workers still being detrimental to their cause.
