Ergenlerin Sahip Oldukları Değerler ile Öznel İyi Oluş ve Sosyal Görünüş Kaygı Düzeyleri Arasındaki Yordayıcı İlişkiler: Bir Model Önerisi

The purpose of the current research was to examine the predictor relationships among adolescents' social appearance anxieties, subjective well-beings and the values they have; and to test the model set with reference to these relationships. The research was carried out by using relational survey model. Convenience sampling method was used to select the sample of the study. The sample of the study consisted of adolescents who were enrolled in public high schools of a city located at the centre region of Turkey in 2013-2014 education year. 322 male and 278 female students and in total 600 students aged between 13 and 18 participated in this study. In the present research, “Human Values Scale” developed by Dilmaç (2007); “Adolescent Subjective Well-being Scale” developed by Eryilmaz (2009); “Social Appearance Anxiety Scale Adolescent Form” developed Hart (2008) and Turkish adaptation of by Doğan (2011) were used as the data collection instruments of this study. Data were analyzed using AMOS 19 software according to “Structural Equation Model”. The findings showed that the direct effects of values on social appearance anxiety and subjective well-being, the direct effect of social appearance anxiety on subjective well-being.Araştırmada ergenlerin sosyal görünüş kaygıları, öznel iyi oluşları ve sahip oldukları değerler arasındaki yordayıcı ilişkileri ortaya koymak ve bu ilişkiden hareketle oluşturulan modeli test etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, genel tarama modelinin bir alt türü olan ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2013-2014 eğitim- öğretim yılında Konya il merkezinde bulunan devlet okullarında eğitim gören ergenlerden uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiştir. Çalışma grubu; 322’ si erkek, 278’si kız olan ve yaşları 13 ile 18 arasında değişen 600 lise öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada Dilmaç (2007) tarafından geliştirilen “İnsani Değerler Ölçeği”, Eryılmaz (2009) tarafından geliştirilen “Ergen Öznel İyi Oluş Ölçeği”, Hart (2008) tarafından geliştirilen ve Doğan (2011) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı Ölçeği Ergen Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma “Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli”ne göre AMOS 19 Programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, değerlerin sosyal görünüş kaygısı ve öznel iyi oluş üzerinde doğrudan etkileri ve sosyal görünüş kaygısının öznel iyi oluş üzerinde doğrudan etkisi görülmüştür
