Although grass-fed and commercially fed beef may look very similar, the compositions are very different. Grass-fed beef is thought to have more vitamin content than commercially fed beef but is not as common due to it being more expensive. The grass-fed beef used in this experiment came from Earth-Be-Glad Farm and the commercially fed beef came from Kwik Trip. Our experiment looked at the different vitamin concentrations, specifically niacin, between grass-fed beef and commercially raised beef. This was done by hydrolyzing the sample, denaturing the proteins, and filtering to get a final product.
