PENGARUH IKLAN TELEVISI LAYANAN MASYARAKAT HEMAT LISTRIK PT PLN (PERSERO) TERHADAP SIKAP MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGGUNAAN LISTRIK DI KELURAHAN 3 ILIR PALEMBANG

Lately, blackouts often occur. PLN has reasoned that the electricity supply (power) is not proportional to the increasing needs of the community. For this reason, PLN urges as much as possible to save electricity usage. One way is by displaying public service ads about electricity savings. But whether the advertisements submitted by PT. PLN in the television media has an effect on the community in saving electricity usage for the people in Palembang City. The problem in this research is how big is the influence of television advertisements for electricity-saving public services on people's attitudes in using electricity in Kelurahan 3 Ilir. Based on the results of the study can be seen: 1) There is an influence on PT. PLN (Persero) on electricity use in Kelurahan 3 Ilir, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City. This is indicated by the tcount for public service ads is 2.721 with a significance of 0.008, while at a significance level of 0.05 with a df of = 98 a ttable value of 1.661 is obtained so that the tcount (2.721)> ttable (1.661); 2) The magnitude of the value of the correlation / relationship (R) that is equal to 0.266 and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.071, which means that the influence of the independent variable (public service announcements) on the dependent variable (community attitudes) is 7.1%, while the rest is influenced by other variables
