As poverty continues to increase in the United States, educational stakeholders must collectively work to address growing disparities and support the well-being of diverse learners. This session will illuminate social and educational inequalities from global, national, and local contexts, and provide high-impact practices to tackle the challenges of poverty and homelessness. Strategies to address systemic oppression and actively build equitable learning environments for diverse students will be shared through multimodal research, including narrative storytelling.
