With basketball gradually becoming increasingly popular across the United States, it is necessary for health care providers to understand injuries associated with the sport. We aim to determine the incidence of basketball-related facial injuries and further describe their patterns with regard to age, mechanism of injury, and degree of injury. An analysis of emergency department visits under the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System was conducted from 2015 through 2017.
