Lecturas de Antígona o de la ciudad inclinada

George Steiner wrote that “Sophocle’s Antigone is not just any text”: it is one of those lasting actions of the history of our philosophical, literary and political conscience. Yet, does Antigone continue being relevant in our present? To what extent does it offer keys to rethinking exile? In this article, we try to answer these questions through the analysis of Antigone’s readings offered by Maria Zambrano, Adriana Cavarero, and Judith Butler. The three, from the recovery of the Sophoclean figure as a carrier of a unique symbolic charge, they approach the difficult topic of the relations between body, exile and politics: the incestuous body, the body between life and death, the exiled body, body and blood as spheres of recognition or non-recognition. Definitely, the Antigones of Zambrano, Cavarero and Butler invite us to rethink the polis from the exile.George Steiner escribía que “la Antígona de Sófocles no es un texto cualquiera”, es una de aquellas acciones duraderas de la historia de nuestra conciencia filosófica, literaria y política. ¿Pero las Antígonas siguen siendo relevantes para nuestro presente? ¿Y en qué medida ofrecen claves de lectura para repensar el exilio? En este artículo intentamos responder a estas preguntas a través del análisis de las lecturas de Antígona ofrecidas por María Zambrano, Adriana Cavarero y Judith Butler. Las tres, a partir de la reivindicación de la figura sofoclea como portadora de una carga simbólica propia, abordan el difícil tema de las relaciones entre cuerpo, exilio y política: el cuerpo incestuoso, el cuerpo entre vida y muerte, el cuerpo y su voz, el cuerpo exiliado, el cuerpo y la sangre como esferas del reconocimiento o del no-reconocimiento. En definitiva, las Antígonas de Zambrano, Cavarero y Butler nos invitan a repensar la polis desde el exilio
