The aim of this paper is to analyse legalintersections of various branches of international and nationallaw in relation to domestic work, with particular emphasis on thecontext in which domestic workers are deprived of or restrictedto two basic labour rights, i.e. the right to fair and justremuneration and the right to working time, in search of ananswer to the question on the barrier of duty to protect labourand other human rights of migrant domestic workers (the state ofemployment versus private employers)
