Presence of lichens from the Lobarion pulmonariae alliance in Nature Park Papuk

Cilj ovog rada je utvrditi zastupljenost lišajeva iz sveze Lobarion pulmonariae u Parku prirode Papuk, te procijeniti ekološke značajke prema indikatorskim vrijednostima. Lišajske vrste iz ove sveze poznate su kao pokazatelji bioraznolikosti i očuvanosti starih šumskih ekosustava u Europi, a osjetljive su na onečišćenja zraka i načine šumskog gospodarenja. Park prirode Papuk posjeduje značajnu raznolikost lišajske flore. Istraživanjem je zabilježeno 12 vrsta lišajeva, svrstanih u 5 porodica i 1 red liheniziranih gljiva. Rastu na stablima bukve (Fagus sylvatica), hrasta kitnjaka (Quercus petraea) i hrasta medunca (Quercus pubescens), a neki rastu na mahovinama. Prema životnom obliku svi su listastog talusa. Ekološke značajke sveze pokazuju da nastanjuje gorska i klimatski hladnija područja s godišnjom količinom oborine preko 1000 mm; najviše lišajeva raste na umjereno kiseloj podlozi i podnosi slabu do umjerenu eutrofikaciju. Prisutnost lišajeva iz epifitske sveze Lobarion pulmonariae potvrđuje očuvanost šumskih ekosustava i vrijednu bioraznolikost Parka prirode Papuk.The aim of this thesis is to determine presence of lichens from the Lobarion pulmonariae alliance in the Nature Park Papuk, and to assess ecological characteristics regarding the indicator values. Lichen species from this alliance are known as indicators of biodiversity and conservation of old forest ecosystems in Europe, and as sensitive to air pollution and forest management practice. Nature Park Papuk has pronounced diversity of lichen flora. During this study, 12 lichen species were recorded and classified into 5 families and one order of the lichenised fungi. They grows on Common Beech (Fagus sylvatica), Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea) and Pubescent Oak (Quercus pubescens), and some on moss cover. According to life form, all have the foliose type of thallus. Ecological characteristics for the alliance indicate that it is present in the mountain areas with colder climate, annual rainfall above 1.000 mm; most of lichens growth on moderately acid substrate and tolerate weak do moderate eutrophication.
