EFFECTS OF HERBICIDE ON BEHAVIOR AND MOLECULAR BIOMARKERS IN EARTHWORM Eisenia andrei

S obzirom da intenzivna upotreba pesticida u poljoprivredi može imati štetan učinak za ekosustav tla i organizme u tlu, cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi učinak herbicida Koban T, kombiniranog pripravka koji sadrži aktivne tvari petoksamid i terbutilazin, na gujavice vrste Eisenia andrei. S obzirom na mali broj istraživanja i općenito nedostatak informacija o djelovanju ovog herbicida na gujavice, u ovom radu istražen je utjecaj kombiniranog herbicida Koban T na ponašanje gujavica, aktivnost enzima karboksilesteraze (CES), katalaze (CAT), glutation-reduktaze (GR), glutation S-transferaze (GST) te na aktivnost mehanizma multiksenobiotičke otpornosti (MXR). Primjenom testa s umjetnim tlom i mjerenjem navedenih parametara utvrđeno je da istraživani herbicid u gujavica uzrokuje izbjegavanje tretiranog tla, promjene u aktivnost enzima te inhibiciju aktivnosti MXR.Since intensive use of pesticides in agriculture can have a detrimental effect on soil ecosystems and soil organisms, the aim of this study was to assess the impact of the herbicide Koban T, formulation which contains active substances pethoxamide and terbuthylazine, on earthworms Eisenia andrei. Given the small number of studies, and generally the lack of information on the effects of this herbicide on earthworms, in this study effects of herbicide Koban T on the behavior of earthworms, the activity of the enzymes carboxylesterase (CES), catalase (CAT), glutathione-reductase (GR), glutathione S-transferase (GST), and the activity of multixenobiotic resistance (MXR) were assessed. Using an artificial soil test and measuring the above mentioned parameters, it was found that investigated herbicide causes the avoidance of treated soil, changes in enzyme activities and inhibition of MXR activity in earthworms
