Sistema Prisional e Direitos Humanos: perspectiva do agente de segurança penitenciária

This monographic work aims to analyze the current situation of the prison system with regard to issues inherent to the respect and effectiveness of the human rights of prison security officers. The nature of the research in terms of level was exploratory and qualitative in approach. The procedures used were bibliographic and documentary. The work resulted in the exploration of the environments in prisons from the perspective of the penitentiary security officer, portraying the reality of the precarious working conditions experienced by them. In this path, the history of human rights was described, describing its evolution, as well as the highlight of those rights that are universal and fundamental to the human being. In sequence, the prison system was presented with its aspects, functions and current situation, followed by the explanation of the agent's role and his life in the exercise of this public function so important to society, as well as the effects of incarceration and the absence of State action. It was concluded at the end that, given the omissions caused by the State's neglect, there are many problems faced by prison security agents, resulting in tragic effects that generate endless discussions in the social and legal field.O presente trabalho monográfico tem como objetivo analisar a atual situação do sistema prisional no que se refere às questões inerentes ao respeito e à eficácia dos direitos humanos dos agentes de segurança penitenciária. A natureza da pesquisa quanto ao nível, foi exploratória e, tocante à abordagem, qualitativa. Os procedimentos utilizados foram o bibliográfico e o documental. O trabalho resultou na exploração dos ambientes em unidades prisionais sob a perspectiva do agente de segurança penitenciária, retratando a realidade das condições precárias de trabalho vividas por estes. Nesta senda, foi abordada a história dos direitos humanos, descrevendo a sua evolução, bem como o ressalto daqueles direitos que são universais e fundamentais ao ser humano. Em sequencia, foi apresentado o sistema prisional com seus aspectos, funções e situação atual, seguido pela explicação da função do agente e sua vida no exercício desta função pública tão importante para a sociedade, bem como foram abordados os efeitos do encarceramento e a ausência de atuação do Estado. Concluiu-se que, diante das omissões causadas pelo descaso do Estado, muitos são os problemas enfrentados pelos agentes de segurança penitenciária, resultando em efeitos trágicos que geram discussões intermináveis no ramo social e jurídico
