Analysis of emotional and behavioral reactions in mothers of childrens with tea front of his diagnosis

This scientific article deals with the behavioral and emotional reactions of mothers, after the diagnosis of autism in their children. Starting from parents' expectations and plans during pregnancy, it discusses the consequences of the discovery of autism, how mothers react, both behaviorally and emotionally, to understand that their children will have limitations. It also presents the degree of understanding that some mothers develop about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and their expectations and plans for their autistic child. To achieve these objectives, a descriptive field research with a qualitative approach was conducted, in which three mothers of autism patients were interviewed. Then, through a content analysis, based on interview clippings, aspects related to the theme addressed by the article were discussed. The results showed that mothers worry about their child's future, both before and after the diagnosis of autism. Nevertheless, they do not seem to be interested in knowing about the disorder prior to its discovery, and this interest does not seem to be much greater after ASD is diagnosed. And, according to the mothers' reports, the paternal side does not seem to influence much on this issue. Which requires greater awareness of this very important topic.O presente artigo científico trata das reações comportamentais e emocionais das mães, após o diagnóstico de autismo em seus filhos. Partindo das expectativas e planos dos pais, durante a gestação, discorre acerca das consequências da descoberta do autismo, sobre como as mães reagem, tanto comportamental como emocionalmente, ao entenderem que seus filhos terão limitações. Também apresenta o grau de compreensão que algumas mães desenvolvem, acerca do Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo (TEA), e suas expectativas e planos para o filho autista. Para alcançar esses objetivos, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo de caráter descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, onde foram entrevistadas três mães de portadores de autismo. A seguir, por meio de uma análise de conteúdo, baseada em recortes das entrevistas, foram discutidos os aspectos referentes ao tema abordado pelo artigo. Os resultados mostraram que as mães se preocupam com o futuro da criança, tanto antes como depois do diagnóstico do autismo. Apesar disso, elas não parecem se interessar em conhecer sobre o transtorno, antes da sua descoberta, e esse interesse parece não ser muito maior, depois que o TEA é diagnosticado. E, pelos relatos das mães, o lado paterno parece não influenciar muito, nesta questão. O que exige maior conscientização acerca desse tema tão importante
