A Critique of Representative Utopian Literature from the Renaissance Through the Twentieth Century Dystopia

Much of the criticism of society has been in the form of Utopian literature advocating a more perfect society. It is literally written as the result of a critical examination of a particular social structure. The many volumes devoted to such literature seem to testify to a great deal of discontent with previous and existing social organization.
