Much of the criticism of society has been in the form of Utopian literature advocating a more perfect society. It is literally written as the result of a critical examination of a particular social structure. The many volumes devoted to such literature seem to testify to a great deal of discontent with previous and existing social organization. Yet such ideal social structures as are proposed are often far from ideal when critically viewed with a concern for the freedom necessary for the use of man\u27s potential self-realization
