The research goal is to evaluate the epidemiology of syphilis and neurosyphilis in the Saratov region science 1994 till 2010. Materials and methods: The forms of statistical inquiry in the Saratov region have been studied. The results of syphilis blood tests were examined in neurological departments of Saratov hospitals. Results: The tendency to reduction of syphilis morbidity was revealed in the Saratov region while the incidence of neurosyphilis increased. Severe forms of symptomatic neurosyphilis were predominant. In spite of increasing number of positive syphilis serological tests in neurological hospitals of Saratov the detection of neurosyphilis among neurological patients remained low.
