Sesbania grandiflora has potential as raw material of pulp in pulp and paper production. In pulp and paper industry, there has a long-term problem which is raw materials for pulp and paper production are insufficient. Thus, the aim of this research was to evaluate the chemical composition of Sesbania grandiflora wood and pulp. Kraft pulping was carried out in a laboratory rotary standard steel digester to produce Sesbania grandiflora pulp. All the chemical compositions of Sesbania grandiflora were analysed in accordance with relevant Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) Test Method, Japanese Standard Method JIS 8101 and Chlorination Method. The parameters that involved in chemical characteristics determination are ce...
