After a general presentation of the electric actuators, the torque due to the notching of a synchronous machine with permanent magnets is studied. The effects of several parameters on which the notching torque depends are analyzed (in particular the width of the poles and the thickness of the gap). To reduce this parasitic torque, different motor structures, more or less easy to produce industrially are exposed. Among these solutions, a synchronous machine with permanent magnets inclined notches is more particularly studied.Then the modeling allowing to obtain the external quantities (FEM .couple ...) of this type of machine is realized using a simulation software 2D of the finite element type.
