Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer among women. At the time of diagnosis, 30 % of patients have developed a metastatic disease either with regional lymph node colonization or distant organs colonization. Metastatic breast cancers are treated by chemotherapy or targeted therapy, according to histological results of primary site. However, 20 to 45 % of metastases have a different phenotype from the primary tumor. Getting access to metastases phenotype would therefore allow treating patients more accurately, in accordance with molecular characteristics of these lesions.
