This thesis studies the labor supply effects of health shocks for aging Americans. To address the mismeasured binary health variables used in the labor supply equation, this thesis develops a new theoretical approach to the non-classical measurement error. In addition to Chapter 1 which provides an overview of the thesis, there are three primary chapters explaining the theoretical development and the empirical studies. Chapter 2 theoretically addresses the estimation bias due to the misclassification of a binary regressor in treatment models.
