Background: Nine million cases of tuberculosis (TB) occur worldwide annually, about one million of those cases (11%) occur in children under 15 years of age. In our environment represent 1,5% TB meningitis. Description of the cases: We report two cases of TB meningitis admitted to a tertiary hospital. In both, diagnostic difficulties were encountered. They were treated with tuberculostatic for 12 months and with glucocorticoid for 4 weeks. One case developed a ventricle-peritoneal shunt. The evolution was very satisfactory in both children.
