This thesis focuses on research and implementation of condition monitoring concerning industrial warehouse automation systems. The research part of this thesis aims to explore the necessity and possibilities of condition monitoring in relation to the state that technology and markets currently reside in. The research also focuses on the pre-requisites of implementation concerning condition monitoring and IIoT systems. The latter part of this thesis concentrates on the design and implementation of a prototype system specifically designed for a client of SSI Schäfer.
