Add to ORKGThe BA thesis focuses on the possibilities of reading of the selected prose of Richard Weiner throgh its visual potential. Theoretically is based on the context of the first 20 years of 20th century (especially new established art movemets such as surrealism, expresionism and cubism). The first part discusses the term avant- garde and brief introduction of related concepts, introduction of the author and his work. The second part then interprets several selected texts from the books of short stories Prázdná židle a jiné prózy, Solný sloup and Škleb. This chapter is used to discuss the influence of the image on writer's prose and the way that the aspects of visual art can be applied in the process of reading.
