Many engineering structures suffer damage and deterioration with time, and need to be monitored in order to sense and predict risk of failure during its remaining service life. Damaged structures require repair work to be undertaken in order to prevent further loss of structural integrity and externally bonded Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) is one of the most widely used repair technique.
