Epworth United Methodist Church, Parkwood Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, 1970s

A black and white photograph of the church building on Parkwood Avenue and Delaware Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. The church was built for the Epworth Methodist Episcopal Church. The congregation was established in 1894 and the building seen here is their second church, built in 1894 with a major addition in 1922. In 1939 the congregation changed it's name to Epworth Methodist Church. After a fire severly damaged the church building in 1958, the congregation sold the building to Mary Manse College and it was remodeled into a library. The congregation moved to a new building on Central Avenue in Ottawa Hills, Ohio
