In this black and white photograph taken around 1950, a crowd of baseball fans are watching a Mud Hens game at Swayne Field. Swayne Field was used by the ball club from 1909 to 1914 and 1916 to 1955. It was owned and named after Noah H. Swayne, a Toledo lawyer and a civic leader. The stadium hosted its first game on July 3, 1909
