Oliver House Hotel, stereograph

A stereographic view of the Oliver House Hotel built in 1859 near downtown Toledo, Ohio. The hotel had 164 rooms and was one of the first buildings in Toledo to install gas lights. The photo was taken around 1880 by Professor E. W. E. Koch and the card was made by E. H. Alley. Mr. Koch, a fruit grower, had a store on Summit Street where he sold house-made wine and cigars. The card is attached to two other cards to make a triptych of cards
