This booklet is a copy of a lecture given by Mary Foulke Morrisson at Connecticut College on October 12, 1960. The lecture was the second in a series of annual lectures, the Mary Foulke Morrisson Lectureship, endowed by the League of Women Voters of Connecticut in 1959. This copy of the lecture was published on August 21, 1961. Morrisson was a leader and pioneer in the women's rights movement, and was on the Board of Trustees at Connecticut College for several years.
