Stepping stones scene

The photograph shows two men and two women standing on stepping stones in a river. Harry Kinley stands on the furthest left wearing a dark suit and straw boater hat, followed by his wife Abbie Lowry Kinley wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, long white skirt, and dark hat. Another couple wearing the same clothing stands to the right of them. Eight children stand on the right bank. The stones, placed in the river by early settlers, are now a part of the Stepping Stones Park in Upper Sandusky. Photograph from the collection of Harry Evan Kinley (1882-1969), a native of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Kinley was active in local events and organizations, and spent his professional career as a clerk at his father's store, and later as a traveling salesman for the Marion Paper & Supply Company (1934-1962). Kinley was also an avid lifelong photographer, and the bulk of the Harry Kinley Collection is comprised of glass plate negatives documenting the Kinley family, the city of Upper Sandusky and Wyandot County and surrounding areas
