An interior view of the cast house at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company's Campbell Works, East Youngstown (Campbell), Ohio, ca. 1910-1919. Inside of the casting house is where the blast furnace was tapped. From the blast furnace the liquid metal flowed into two trenches: one for the iron to the right, and one for the slag to the left. Each flowed in a different direction to the series of gates that sent the metal to the waiting iron ladles and slag buckets
