The Ohio Company Land Office in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio was built after the Ohio Company landed at Marietta in 1788. In 1900 the Land Office was purchased by the Ohio Chapter of the Colonial Dames of America and renovated for use as a museum. This photograph, taken ca. 1940-1949, represents the building after it was restored. It is the oldest building in Ohio and presently part of the Campus Martius State Memorial
